Those stickers on fruits and veggies tell you quite a bit! 4 numbers mean they were conventionally grown. 5 numbers starting with number 8 means they are genetically modified (GMO). And 5 numbers starting with 9 means they were organically grown.

Hey alwaysbakedgoods!

I love this recipe and would love to try it out and put my results on here however you didn’t specify how many eggs go into the cupcakes! (RUHRO!) Let me know in a message and I’ll update this post and add photos of my creation as well.

Thanks so much!

Salted Caramel Cupcakes

Creamy Dreamy Vanilla Cupcakes

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups cake flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 stick unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Easy How To:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. In one bowl sift together cake flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In mixer or with hand mixer cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time allowing each one to be fully incorporated.
  5. Add 1/3 of the dry ingredients and allow them to mix in.
  6. Add 1/4 cup milk and again let it mix in.
  7. Repeat above steps until all the dry and wet ingredients are mixed.
  8. Add vanilla.

Line a cupcake pan with liners and fill each cup about 2/3 of the way. (Yields about 12)

Bake in oven at 375 degrees for about 17 minutes or until fluffy and golden brown. Let cool 20 minutes.

Using an apple corer or knife cut out small rounds from the center of each cupcake and place to side. Use the recipe for my Ooey Gooey Salted Caramel and fill each cupcake. Replace the the cupcake rounds and frost with vanilla frosting. Drizzle the caramel all over the top of the cupcakes and sprinkle sea salt on top of each cupcake. Unwrap and munch!

Vanilla Frosting

  • 1/2 cup butter (1 stick) at room temperature
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Easy How To:

  1. In an electric mixer or using a hand mixer beat butter until light and smooth.
  2. Add powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Beat until creamy and fluffy

‘Hose Water’ Glass Bottle
“Remember when you used to drink hose water as a kid? You had no shame in taking a sip from that spigot in between games of hide and seek.
But then somewhere along the way, bottled water companies convinced us that our tap water wasn’t safe, and that the only alternative was what they were selling.
We can reverse the trend! Help us bring back tap water’s dignity and let’s stick it to the bottled water industry.”
